On The Road Again!

I am told that Matthew 28:19 can accurately be translated as 'As you are going, make disciples...'

Many times we read accounts of Jesus and his disciples that contain words like these - 'while they were on the way with him,' 'as he was going ...' etc.

We are encouraged to 'walk' as Jesus 'walk' and 'walk worthy.'

Christianity is an 'as you are going about life' adventure - not primarily something we do 'sitting' in a church service. It is a 'get out and get involved in life' commission. We are to live it out while going about our regular daily lives. Jesus teachings and principles are to be worked into the everyday activities of our lives - not just some special 'evangelistic' event, or some missionary endeavor. The real power of the kingdom of God is to be seen and experienced in the everyday walks of life.

So, 'as we are going' about daily life, let's intentionally look for ways and opportunities to put into practice what Jesus taught about living.
